TickTap

Price alerts

Targets on crypto pairs and stocks that fire once when the price reaches them.

A price alert watches one instrument and pushes once when its price reaches your target. It then waits until you re-arm it, so a price hovering around the target does not ring every minute.

Writing the code

Type the code the way you know it; TickTap works out the market.

You typeMarketStored as
BTC-USDT, ETH-USDT-SWAPCrypto on OKX (spot, perpetual swaps)okx:BTC-USDT
BTCUSDTCrypto on Binance, spotbinance:BTCUSDT
binance-um:BTCUSDTBinance USDⓈ-M perpetualbinance-um:BTCUSDT

When you leave the code field, TickTap looks up the current price so you can check it is the right instrument. A code with no quote is refused.

Condition and target

  • Rises to ≥: fires when the price is at or above the target.
  • Falls to ≤: fires when the price is at or below the target.

Setting an alert from the Overview is quicker: click a position or a holding, pick a preset such as +5%, or type a target. The direction follows from the target and the current price.

After it fires

The alert shows as Triggered with the time. From the list you can:

  • Re-arm it to watch the same target again.
  • Edit it. Changing the condition or the target re-arms a triggered alert.
  • Pause, Resume or Delete it.

If a push fails, for example because the Bark key is wrong, the alert is not marked as triggered and is tried again on the next check. The failure appears in the Notification log.
