Troubleshooting

What to check when an alert does not reach your wrist.

The test push does not arrive

Open Notification log in the dashboard. Every push is recorded there with the reason it failed.

  • failed to get device token: the Bark key is wrong. Copy it again from Bark's home screen.
  • No entry at all: the Bark key has not been saved yet.

My iPhone rings but my watch does not

iOS forwards a notification to the Apple Watch only when:

  • the iPhone is locked or its screen is off,
  • the watch is on your wrist and unlocked, and
  • wrist detection is on.

Also check the Watch app on your iPhone: Notifications → Bark should mirror the iPhone, and Sounds & Haptics → Haptic Alerts should be on. Prominent Haptic adds an extra tap.

An alert did not fire

  • Price alerts fire once. Check whether it is already Triggered, and re-arm it.
  • Check that it is not Paused.
  • Prices are checked once a minute. A spike shorter than that may be missed.
  • Use Check now at the top of the dashboard to run a check immediately.

Connecting OKX fails

  • 50105: the passphrase is wrong.
  • 50113 or 50111: the key or secret is wrong, or the key was deleted.

Connecting Binance fails

  • -2015: the key or secret is wrong, the key was deleted, or it lacks Enable Reading.
  • -1021: the request's timestamp was rejected; try again.
  • 451: Binance does not serve the region the request came from.

See Connect an exchange for how to create a new key.
