TickTap

Custom sounds

Make critical alerts ring for the full 30 seconds, like a call.

Critical alerts make Bark keep ringing: it loops the sound you picked up to 30 seconds, the longest iOS allows. Bark's own sounds last 1 to 7 seconds, so looped they stutter. TickTap offers sounds that already run close to 30 seconds; imported into Bark, they ring straight through, more like an incoming call.

Import into Bark

  1. Open this page in Safari on your iPhone and tap a link above to save the file to the Files app.
  2. In Bark, open Alert Sound, tap Upload Sound under Custom Sounds, and pick the file.
  3. Back in TickTap's Settings, enter the sound name (for example ticktap-phone) under Sound, save, and send a test push to hear it.

Replacing a sound you imported?

Bark skips a file whose name it already has, and it keeps its looped 30-second copy. To switch to a new file, delete the old sound in Bark first, and preferably give the new one another name.

A sound name that was never imported plays the iPhone's default alert instead.
